Cookie Policy

Last updated: August 7, 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how Islandbridge Automation Limited ("Company," "we," "us," and "our") uses cookies and similar technologies when you visit our website at https://www.accruate.com or use the Accruate application.

The short version: we set no tracking cookies, we run no analytics, and we show no cookie banner because there is currently nothing here that requires your consent. Everything we store on your device is needed to make the Services work or to remember a setting you chose yourself. The table below names every one of them.

What are cookies, and what counts as one?

Cookies are small data files placed on your computer or mobile device when you visit a website. The law also covers similar technologies that store data on your device, such as local storage, so we list those here too.

Why do we not show a cookie banner?

Under the European Communities (Electronic Communications Networks and Services) (Privacy and Electronic Communications) Regulations 2011 (S.I. 336/2011), consent is required before storing information on your device, except where that storage is strictly necessary to provide a service you have explicitly requested.

Every item in the table below falls within that exception. It is either required to keep you logged in and secure, or it remembers a preference you actively set. We store nothing for advertising, profiling, or analytics. So there is no consent to ask for, and a banner would be asking you to agree to something that is not happening.

If that ever changes, we will ask first. See "If we introduce analytics" below.

Cookies we use

All of these are first-party cookies, set by us, and none of them are used to track you across other websites.

Name Purpose Duration
Supabase authentication cookies (names begin sb-) Keep you securely signed in and refresh your session. Without these you cannot use the application at all. Session, refreshed while you remain signed in
accruate_mfa_trust Records that you chose "Trust this device for 30 days" after completing two-factor authentication, so you are not asked again on that device. Set only if you tick that box. Cryptographically signed and not readable by scripts. 30 days
accruate_mfa_email_session Records that you have completed email-based two-factor authentication for the current working session. Cryptographically signed and not readable by scripts. 12 hours
selected_org Remembers which of your organisations you last worked in, so you land in the right place when you return. 1 year
sidebar_state Remembers whether you left the navigation sidebar open or collapsed. 7 days

Local storage we use

These are stored by your browser rather than sent to us with each request. They hold your own interface preferences and nothing else.

Key Purpose
accruate-theme Your choice of light or dark appearance.
accruate-review-split The position you dragged the divider to on the document review screen.
accruate.announcement.dismissed.* Remembers that you closed an announcement banner so we do not show it again.
Document list and workspace preferences Your sort order, filters, and last-viewed workspace, so lists look the way you left them.

Your preferred VAT region (Ireland or the UK) is not stored on your device. It is a setting on your workspace, held in our database.

Third-party content

Our public website offers the option to book a demonstration call. That booking tool is provided by Cal, on its European data-residency instance, so booking data stays in the EU.

Cal's software is not loaded when you open our pages. It loads only at the point you move to, tab to, or tap one of our "Book a Demo" links, which is the moment you show you want to book. Until then nothing from Cal runs on the page and nothing from Cal is stored on your device. If you never go near a booking link, Cal never sees you.

If you would rather avoid it entirely, our booking links also work as ordinary links to Cal's own website, where Cal's own privacy notice applies.

We do not currently use any third-party advertising, marketing, or analytics cookies, and we have no advertising or tracking pixels of any kind.

If we introduce analytics

We may in future introduce product analytics to understand how the Services are used and to improve them. Analytics is not strictly necessary, so it requires your consent under the Regulations, and we will not load any such tool before you have given it.

If and when that happens, we will update this policy and our subprocessor list beforehand, present a clear choice in which declining is as easy as accepting, and give you a way to change your mind at any time. Until you see that choice, nothing of the sort is running.

How can I control cookies?

You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Please note that the strictly necessary cookies above cannot be declined while you use the application, because signing in does not work without them. Blocking them will stop you being able to log in.

Local storage can be cleared through your browser's site data settings.
